Bachelor’s degree in any field of study (no equivalency degrees accepted)
120 Hour TEFL/TESOL
12 years of primary/high school education in English
Driver’s license from South Africa or Namibia
South African or Namibian passport holders who meet requirements listed in point 1-4
Other African passport holders who meet requirements listed in point 1-4
Bachelor of Education may remove TEFL requirement
Native English speakers
Good physical and mental health
Aged from 21 to 40 years
Tattoo’s - pls notify OVC of all tattoos as certain are not allowed

Public schools have two major start times of the year: March and September.

You will be provided with a comprehensive visa checklist. Items may include as your Bachelor’s degree, transcripts, Police check, health form, TEFL/TESOL certificate, references, employment contract to name a few

Application Time:
Average of 4 - 6 months from the initial application until arrival in Japan

*Schools provide an upfront loan of ¥250, 000. The loan assists with arrival costs and reducing the spending money to only $2000. Applicants can refuse the loan but must take $4000 to Japan to cover initial expenses
